Latvia is closely associated with the Christmas tree, and some legends say it was in Old Town Riga that the first Christmas tree was decorated in front of the House of Blackheads on Town Hall Square at the beginning of the 16th century. Christmas is approaching, and one of the signs testifying to this is the Old Town Christmas Fair, with sweet-smelling mulled wine, roasted almonds, glittering glazed gingerbread, and local handicrafts.
Visitors will have a chance to find their Christmas miracle here every day. Various concerts and workshops are on the program, with Santa Claus entertaining kids and adults alike.

Arrival at Riga Airport. Transfer to the hotel (not included). Check-in. First acquaintance with the city on your own.

A combined coach and walking tour encompasses the most significant sights of Riga: driving along the central boulevards of Riga and enjoying views of the City Canal Parks, Bastion Hill, the Powder Tower, the Latvian National Theatre, the Fine Arts Museum, the Art Nouveau buildings from the beginning of the 20th century, the Freedom Monument, the University of Latvia, the Latvian National Opera House, and the Daugava River.
During the walking part of the tour, you will enjoy the beauty of the ancient Hanseatic city: the picturesque streets of the Old Town, the Dome Cathedral (entrance included), the Church of St. Peter, the old Guild Houses, the Swedish Gate, St. Jacob’s Church, the Parliament House, and Old Riga Castle.
In the afternoon, visit the Christmas events and the Christmas Market in the Old Town of Riga.
