In 2012 Aparjods hotel and restaurant was rated ***Superior according to the European „Hotelstars Union” certification. Furthermore, Aparjods was awarded the quality certificate Q-Latvia, well known as a part of European Q quality system in the tourism sector, acknowledging the high quality of our products and services in hospitality.
The Aparjods***Superior hotel and restaurant is located in Sigulda, one of the most beautiful Latvian towns. The Aparjods is a beautiful wooden building complex constructed in ethnographic style with roofs of wooden shingles and cane, comprising a restaurant, a hotel, conference rooms, a music club and a sauna with Arctic spa bath.
The Aparjods has been established as an excellent place for both recreation and business. In 2000 it won the first award in the "Wooden Buildings of Latvia" competition, run by the Cultural Heritage Department of the European Council.
Sigulda, with its magnificent surroundings, offers a wide range of open-air activities from a romantic walk in the Gauja National Park, either in spring, when everything is in bloom and blossom, or during the golden Indian summer, to all kinds of outdoor sports all year round.
In Sigulda you can go horse riding, enjoy an airplane flight, ride a bicycle, go boating or rafting along the Gauja river or observe the surroundings from the aerial tram, play tennis, try the Aerodium free flight system, drive down a toboggan on small rubber wheels, a Vuchko tourist bobsleigh or summer bobsleigh along the bobsleigh track, enjoy adventure parks "Mežakaķis" and "Tarzāns". In winter the snow-capped Sigulda hills are an ideal place for skiing.
